I am currently in the process of testing to become a correctional officer, I do my test this upcoming Thursday and I was super excited already but listening to your podcast added onto that excitement. I’ve wanted to be apart of law enforcement for years now , ever since I was about 14 years old, and I’m thankfully after turning 21 this year.

Great episode, Michael. I can certainly relate to the different styles of management that various Wardens, Governors, General Managers, and Superintendents can have with staff and the prison environment.

This is an excellent show, both for prison officers and the general public at large. Most cop shows, crime dramas, and who-done-its end with the arrest and conviction of the criminal. But that’s not where the story ends. This show shines a light on the rest of the story, on the brave men and women who stand guard amongst the people society has decided are too dangerous to be around. It takes guts, quick wits, and it takes a toll. This show covers it all. Keep it up, Cantrell.

I just want to say that I’ve been listening to your podcast since the first time I decided to join corrections. I would always listen to you while I was out delivering packages for Amazon. Your podcast really helped me understand a bit of corrections. I graduated from the academy in February and I’ve been working in corrections for a while. Thank you Mike
